Doing business as SADCL, located in Mpigi district, Koknoma ward, Mpambire village.

SAWA Agricultural Development Company Limited (SADCL) is a social agro-enterprise development Company that aims to improve the agricultural production, marketing, processing, and value addition of smallholder farmers and local communities.  The company supports crop production of cereals/pulses and animal production value chains.

SADCL is a legally registered agro-social enterprise under the laws of Uganda, as a company limited by shares with Registration Number 80020003617709

SADCL an agricultural food production business focuses on the production of protein and iron-rich foods, processing, value addition, and postharvest loss reduction along the cereal and legumes value chains. The company aims to link agriculture with nutrition through the campaign of changing consumption from toxic foods to nutritious and natural healthy foods

SADCL aims at improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers through commercializing the markets for grains and food products/Value addition and accessing quality nutritious food crop planting materials.

The company engages in institutional development, women and youth empowerment through the promotion of own savings and credit associations, agribusiness, grain community revolving models, tailored technologies that reduce women’s drudgery in production, post-harvest and marketing skills development, youth skilling in mechanization and digitalization.

The company further focuses on mainstreaming climate change mitigation approaches, gender aspects, and HIV-AIDS.

The commodities traded in include; Beans, groundnuts, maize, vegetables, and soya as well as cassava and sweet potatoes
